can transform the world.”

Depending on whether any South China Tigers remain (nobody has seen one in years), there are only 5 or 6 tiger subspecies still in existence – and all are endangered. Today, there are fewer than 3,200 tigers left in the wild. When an apex predator disappears, the effects ripple resoundingly down the food chain. At the current rate, wild tigers will be extinct within 30 years.
Until the 20th century, there were nine tiger subspecies that likely numbered over 100,000. These included the giant, 660lb (300kg) Siberian Tiger (Pantera tigris altaica), the Caspian Tiger (Pantera tigris virgata, now extinct), and the relatively smaller, 200lb (90kg) Balinese Tiger – also now extinct.
For every bar of Tiger Naturals sold, we donate 20% of profits towards these outstanding organizations. Remember: small acts.
When donating to the panther cause, we wanted to make sure the proceeds were being used effectively – that's why we chose Panthera. They are the only organization in the world exclusively devoted to the conservation of the world's 38 wild cat subspecies.
Utilizing the expertise of renowned biologists from all over the world, Panthera develops and implements global strategies for large, imperiled felines such as tigers, lions, jaguars, cheetahs, pumas, and leopards. Representing the most comprehensive effort of its kind, Panthera has partnered with local and international NGOs (non-governmental organizations), scientific institutions, governments, communities, and citizens to ensure a future for wild cats.
